We’re seeking a trade-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our Vehicle Assessing team, based in our Sydney CBD office. This is a stable, Monday–Friday, office-based role where you’ll use your technical expertise to assess vehicle damage and determine safe, cost-effective repair solutions for our self-insured fleet. 

While prior assessing experience is ideal, we’re also open to candidates from estimating or hands-on repair backgrounds who are keen to learn, pick things up quickly, and build a career in assessing.

Responsibilities

  • Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate, economical repair methods 
  • Oversee the repair process for our self-insured vehicle fleet 
  • Conduct assessments across multiple channels 
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports in line with claims protocols 
  • Negotiate repair scopes and costs with network repairers 
  • Manage rectification processes and quality outcomes 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support broader business goals 
  • Monitor repair timelines to improve vehicle availability and utilisation 

What you’ll bring

  • Trade-qualified in the motor repair industry (minimum 3+ years)
  • Experience with Panel Beating or Spray Painting (advantageous) 
  • Prior assessing experience (preferred) 
  • Strong understanding of the motor body repair industry 
  • A commitment to high-quality customer service 
  • Confident computer skills 
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team 
  • Comfortable commuting and working in Sydney, CBD
