We are seeking a commercially minded Development Manager to join ESR's Development team in NSW and play a key role in delivering industrial and logistics projects across Australia. Working across all stages of the development lifecycle, you will help drive project outcomes from feasibility and planning through to delivery, leasing and stabilisation.

Partnering closely with internal teams, consultants, customers and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the growth of ESR's development platform by identifying opportunities, managing risks and delivering projects that create long-term value for our investors and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development projects through all stages of the development lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to delivery and asset stabilisation.
  • Prepare and manage development feasibilities, project budgets, business cases and investment recommendations to support commercial decision-making.
  • Drive leasing and development strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders, agents and customers to maximise asset performance and value.
  • Manage relationships with consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders to facilitate successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while overseeing planning approvals, due diligence activities and governance requirements.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience and approach:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property, Property Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, Planning, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in property development, leasing, project management or a related discipline within the real estate industry.
  • Strong understanding of development feasibility, financial modelling, project delivery and planning processes.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple stages of the development lifecycle, ideally within industrial, logistics or commercial property.
  • Demonstrated leasing and negotiation experience, with the ability to work effectively with agents, occupiers and customers to drive development outcomes
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across internal and external groups.
