Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Sydney, Australia (hybrid - 2/3 days in office)
Type: Permanent, full-time
About the role:
We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our ANZ finance team in a hybrid working environment. This role will play a key part in supporting financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic decision-making across the business.
Working closely with the Senior APAC FP&A Manager and regional stakeholders, you will provide insightful analysis, develop financial models, and help improve the quality of financial reporting and planning across the APAC region. This role is ideal for a commercially aware finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business and translating financial data into meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support for the ANZ business.
Support business partners and the Senior APAC FP&A Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
Conduct market analysis and research to inform business planning and financial modelling.
Monitor key performance indicators, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
Collaborate with APAC FP&A teams to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of financial reporting and information.
Identify financial risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation plans or improvement initiatives.
Prepare financial presentations and reporting materials for senior leadership and management meetings.
To thrive in this role, you will have…
3–5 years’ experience in a Finance Analyst, FP&A, or similar finance role.
Experience working with SAP EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) tools.
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
Experience using Power BI or other data visualisation tools (beneficial).
Strong Excel and financial reporting capabilities.
The ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for stakeholders.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
