Your Team
This role sits within the Customer Office at CFS, within the Marketing Strategy and Transformation team in the Brand and Customer Engagement (B&CE) function. B&CE shapes and delivers brand, marketing and customer engagement strategies that drive customer outcomes and growth across Direct and Employer segments, supported by enterprise centres of excellence including Data & Analytics, Digital and Corporate Communications.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for owning and delivering high-impact marketing programs and journeys that drive measurable customer and commercial outcomes within defined portfolios, with the flexibility to operate across different portfolios as business needs evolve.
Your Responsibilities
- Accountable for translating portfolio strategy into clear go‑to‑market direction, priorities and integrated programs that deliver measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
- Lead delivery of programs through the end-to-end marketing value chain - insight, planning, journey design, campaign delivery, optimisation and PIRs - owning performance and continuous improvement across campaigns, journeys and channels.
- Deliver integrated, multi-channel customer journeys and lifecycle programs (welcome, activation, engagement, retention, retirement transition), using segmentation, triggers to build always-on programs, and other communications, as required.
- Digital-first, data-led optimisation: leverage customer, product and behavioural insights to develop and deliver personalised, triggered and ad hoc programs; run structured test-and-learn (A/B, multivariate) and continuously optimise against KPIs.
- Coordinate and influence cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, compliant programs and campaigns at pace.
- Support continuous improvement by applying best-practice lifecycle marketing, disciplined ways of working, and practical adoption of new tools and processes.
- Champion the practical use of AI-enabled insights and modern marketing capability, targeting and personalisation to improve relevance and efficiency in processes, while ensuring responsible use.
- Drive adoption of the Customer Engagement Engine by embedding consistent ways of working (intake, briefing, measurement) and ensuring campaigns and journeys are delivered through a standardised, repeatable approach.
- Actively contribute to Improving marketing delivery effectiveness by streamlining processes, strengthening execution discipline, and enabling more efficient, consistent program delivery.
Maintain strong risk hygiene: identify compliance risks early, prepare approval artefacts, follow governance pathways, and escalate
Your Capability and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in marketing and communications, within financial services (superannuation, wealth, banking, retirement/investments), or with a strong interest in this industry.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with a track record of delivering measurable campaign and program outcomes and ROI.
- Ability to translate marketing strategy into marketing programs (segmentation/targeting, proposition development, forecasting, integrated planning).
- Experience building data and insight-led marketing programs and campaigns, personalisation, triggered programs and rigorous optimisation (test/learn, dashboards, performance reporting etc.).
- Strong digital and data capability across channels and platforms (CRM/email, paid digital, social, search/display, web journeys).
- Understanding of digital marketing trends and emerging technologies.
- Coordinates and influence cross-functional partners to deliver outcomes.
- Strong project management and delivery discipline; flexibility to work through ambiguous problems and environments.
- A team player who works collaboratively with others
- Comfortable operating in regulated environments with a proactive risk mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Degree in Marketing, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in a sophisticated Martech environment. Adobe experience is highly valued, including WorkFront.
