About the role

We’re seeking a Product Owner – Digital to join our Retail Transformation team on a 2-year fixed term contract.

 

This is a pivotal role that bridges business and technology, ensuring our digital products deliver exceptional customer experiences while achieving commercial objectives. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Journey Owners, and cross-functional teams to shape and deliver digital capabilities that enhance customer engagement and drive strategic outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers and Journey Owners to translate strategic priorities into actionable digital solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to explore and develop new digital capabilities.

  • Conduct competitor analysis and monitor digital product performance.

  • Analyse customer behaviour and usage data to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Create user stories and guide development teams through shaping and iteration.

  • Prioritise and maintain the product backlog, ensuring work is ready for development.

  • Lead workshops and facilitate agile ceremonies to drive delivery.

  • Track success metrics and provide timely updates on product initiatives.

  • Contribute to the Product Owner and Digital communities through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in product ownership within an agile environment.

  • Strong commercial thinking and ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience using digital analytics to inform product strategy.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams through product development stages.

  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

  • Familiarity with Human-Centred Design (HCD) techniques.

  • Knowledge of the utilities industry and energy markets is a plus.
