Job Description

Senior Business Analyst

  • Love what you do and leave your mark
  • Hybrid ways of working - Sydney or Melbourne location
  • Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

As a Senior Business Analyst within the EBS Program team at Endeavour Group, you will play a key role in reshaping our Finance Shared Services ecosystem. This role sits within a specialised team dedicated to analysing our applications ecosystem alongside Woolworths Finance and Business Shared Services. You will perform gap analysis and support the replication of functionality to stand-alone Endeavour solutions, while also supporting Genpact to achieve efficiency gains. Working closely with finance and other subject matter experts, Project Managers, Change Managers, software vendors, and technology stakeholders, you will help successfully migrate our finance and business operations away from reliance on Woolworths Finance Shared Services solutions to establish our own internal capabilities.

In this position, you will ensure the team is set up for success by identifying and documenting business needs, evaluating opportunities, and recommending high-value solutions. Acting as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical execution, you will also provide guidance and mentorship to others on business analysis tools, frameworks, process mapping, requirements documentation and technical solution design.

Sound good? Read on.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Evaluate and optimise business processes: Evaluate, analyse, and communicate business requirements while clearly documenting current state and future state (optimised) business processes.
  • Facilitate key workshops: Facilitate collaborative workshops with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into process enhancements.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery: Lead the development, documentation, and delivery of end-to-end business processes alongside business process owners to drive value.
  • Bridge business and technology: Act as the liaison between stakeholders and technical solutions, ensuring synergy between innovation, integrations, technical solution design, and practical application.
  • Deliver multi-disciplinary project support: Support Program, Project, and Change Managers across business case creation, vendor evaluation, project scheduling, training, and operational support.
  • Global team collaboration: Support the analysis and resolution of technology performance issues in collaboration with teams located overseas.
  • Drive change management: Assist with triage, process mapping, training material creation, FAQs, and end-user training sessions.
  • Mentor team members: Guide and mentor associate Business Analysts in their pathways, promoting best-practice utilization of user stories, requirements gathering tools, and project controls.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

  • Proven BA Experience: 6+ years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably working within an Agile environment.
  • Finance Domain Expertise: Strong background in Finance concepts and needs, ideally with experience in SAP S4/HANA.
  • Shared Services Exposure: Experience with Finance shared services solutions is highly desirable.
  • Technical BA Toolkit: Proficient in requirements gathering tools and techniques, AS-IS and TO-BE elicitation, workshop facilitation, and business process mapping (BPM).
  • Retail & Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated experience delivering complex initiatives, underpinned by strong commercial acumen and an understanding of retail fundamentals.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to break complex problems into manageable pieces and articulate complex technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Passionate about guiding associate BAs and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • Adaptable Mindset: Authentic, pragmatic, and resilient under pressure, with the ability to lead through ambiguity and keep customer outcomes central to decision-making.
  • Navigating Complexity & Ambiguity: Proven ability to thrive in complex, multi-stakeholder environments where no single team holds the complete answer, seamlessly connecting the dots across disparate groups including Woolworths (WoW), EBS, ERP, EDP, and Genpact to drive alignment.
  • Mobility: Willingness to undertake ad-hoc travel as agreed with the team.

The benefits are good too!

  • An exclusive discount card for our ALH Hotels pubs & accommodation, BWS, Dan Murphy’s and other Endeavour Group brands. Through our partnership with Woolworths, you'll also enjoy discounts at Woolies supermarkets and BIG W
  • As a valued member of the team, your health and wellbeing is our top priority. You will have access to a range of free services to help you live well and support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing
  • Endeavour Group is full of opportunities - use our dedicated learning and development options to grow an idea, yourself, and your career. This is just the start, so dream big
