About the job
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join an established squad responsible for our customer and broker-facing products, with a focus on delivering straight-through processing, and automated loan approvals. This role is an integral part of the team, connecting strategy to execution, with the products and features you build making a significant impact to Wisr.
You will have the opportunity to influence the product direction at Wisr, driving innovation and growth while partnering closely with cross functional teams across Technology, Marketing and Operations.
What you’ll do:
• Oversee and manage the technology product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration, while ensuring alignment with business goals and strategy.
• Lead a cross-functional squad with clarity and purpose—collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and growth leads to deliver end-to-end value.
• Translate ambiguous opportunities into actionable product definitions, shaping customer journeys, functional requirements, and success metrics.
• Monitor key product metrics and ensure product delivery is aligned to optimising these metrics and overall business performance
• Own and lead squad rituals such as release planning, backlog grooming and retro sessions
• Coordinate end-to-end testing, ensuring any defects are resolved before each release
• Ensure the customer is at the heart of product development by translating research, insights and data into product strategy and decisions
• Bring genuine curiosity and excitement about AI, actively identifying opportunities to apply AI and automation to simplify complex workflows, reducing manual touchpoints and accelerating time to decision.
What success looks like in your first 6 months
• You have built strong stakeholder relationships and are firmly embedded in the business acting as the go-to person for your squad.
• You have established trusted relationships with your squad, with the team operating efficiently with clear priorities, minimal blockers, and a shared understanding of how their work contributes to automation and the product vision.
• Good understanding of our tech stack, and constraints with the ability to make informed decisions.
• Developed a solid understanding of lending originations end-to-end, including where manual interventions occur and how to systematically reduce them.
About you
You are an experienced and confident Senior Product Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You’re equally comfortable defining problem spaces as you are at managing execution.
You’re commercially minded, customer obsessed, and skilled at aligning cross-functional teams around bold but achievable goals. As a continuous learner, you thrive when trying new things while enabling your squad to deliver high quality solutions.
You’ll also have/be:
• 5+ years' experience in product management, ideally across fintech, startups, or innovation functions, with hands-on experience in lending, credit, or financial services products strongly preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present product strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in lean, ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Technically minded, with the ability to work with effectively with engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills with cross-functional teams
• Systems thinker with the ability to zoom in and out between product detail and strategy
• Driven by customer outcomes and long-term business impact—not just features
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing technology teams.
• Experience in working with analytics and experimentation tools and frameworks, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
•Proven experience working at the intersection of user requirements and commercial strategy to drive product growth
