About the role
As a Talent Acquisition Partner at AGL, you play a pivotal role in driving a people-first hiring experience through strategic, end-to-end recruitment—both internally and externally. Your understanding of business priorities enables you to be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to hiring leaders, ensuring talent strategies are aligned with current and future workforce needs. You build deep connections with your candidates to ensure their experience is meaningful, regardless of the outcome and you champion AGL’s position as an Employer of Choice with diversity and inclusion front and centre in all your recruitment decisions. You will contribute to the business success by ensuring our recruitment efforts are not only operationally effective but also future-focused and aligned with AGL’s long-term vision.
This role will primarily support the talent acquisition activities for our Bayswater Power Station, Construction, Gas Assets, and Integrated Portfolio Planning businesses.
Key Accountabilities
- Prioritise the candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Be a trusted partner to support hiring leaders to deliver an effective and equitable hiring process.
- Develop different sourcing, proactive searching and engagement strategies for critical, emerging, and high-volume roles.
- Partner with our Talent Brand Lead to deliver portfolio specific EVP content.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives/projects.
- Support AGL’s DEI strategy through data to track diversity metrics and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to drive solutions around internal mobility and talent planning processes, as well as remuneration discussions.

This role influences workforce outcomes and contribute to organisational goals through strategic recruitment practices. You will focus on delivering effective solutions to stakeholders, building strong relationships and enhancing the overall recruitment process.
- Experience leading recruitment across large and complex organisations
- Confidence in working with senior stakeholders to align hiring strategies with business priorities
- Ability to build effective relationships with hiring leaders and candidates
- Experience contributing to talent initiatives through close partnership with leaders and the P&C function
- Commitment to representing and advocating for AGL’s employer brand and inclusion efforts
- Success in delivering hiring outcomes through proactive sourcing methods
