This role is responsible for maximizing sales volume and market share of designated products within an assigned territory.
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Complete low voltage, high voltage, and CRT product certification.
  • Achieve sales targets and increase market share for assigned territory.
  • Actively implement and execute on sales force effectiveness initiatives to help drive business growth and sales skills development including strategic territory and account planning, customer profiles and sales training.
  • Utilise available sales analysis tools to assist in territory planning.
  • Develop relationships with and service key customer groups, identify and utilise key customer networks.
  • Support implantation, post-operative and clinics of pacemakers, defibrillators & CRT devices within your territory.
  • Utilise internal resources to assist servicing customers within your territory.
  • Manage your consignment stock.
  • Maintain accurate customer profiles.
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge and actively participate in education programs.
  • Assist with product marketing and launches.
  • Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity.
  • Attend to/comply with customer service and other administrative requirements within the required timeframe.
  • Attend company sales meetings and customer events as required.
  • Ensure maintenance of company property/assets.
  • Have a sound understanding of, and comply with, the industry (MTAA) the Abbott Code of Conduct and Company Compliance requirements.
  • Handle and document customer complaints according to Abbott ANZ Field Event Reporting Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the requirements of the Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Work, Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Action any other customer complaints with relevant Abbott ANZ Business Unit.
  • Execute the position and Business Unit responsibilities according to applicable Abbott ANZ Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform other related functions and responsibilities as directed by Manager.

Minimum EducationTertiary qualifications in Biomedical, Engineering, Medical Science, Human Movement related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) is essential.Minimum Experience and Skills

  • Good understanding of the industry process and function
  • Ability to convincingly discuss the industry process and function with customers, as well as internal and external experts.
  • IBHRE Certified preferred
     

Quality, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

  • Attend regular departmental meetings with manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.
  • Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.
  • Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
