We produce hydrogen using less energy, at less cost and with less impact to your business We don’t burn natural gas, we process it and produce what’s called Turquoise hydrogen. Why Turquoise? Instead of their being CO2e we produce a solid by-product called conductive carbon used to manufacture batteries. So we have 2 products, turquoise hydrogen and carbon black and carbon nano-object products. Importantly we use the same infrastructure as natural gas to supply our clean turquoise hydrogen to utilities, manufacturing, transport and your homes.

The NRN - National Renewable Network is building a connected network of solar and storage systems that radically changes the way energy is delivered. We use the latest renewable energy technology and infrastructure to simultaneously lower the cost of renewable energy for households, businesses, and energy retailers. Lower emissions, lower energy pricing, and a greener future for Australia. As an Energy Infrastructure business, we are challenging our current expensive and outdated electricity supply chain by upgrading homes and businesses to produce, store and use their own renewable energy. Our subscription service offers Energy Retailers the ability to upgrade their consumers to renewable energy to improve remote energy management, profit margins and make a step forward to a cleaner energy grid. Meanwhile consumers can enjoy Solar and Battery at no cost and access to exclusive and more affordable energy tariffs.

Origin is one of Australia's leading energy companies, exploring, generating and delivering energy to over 4 million customer accounts. Our purpose – getting energy right for our customers, communities and planet – drives everything we do. As Australia's largest energy retailer, we have an important role to play in providing electricity, natural gas, solar and LPG to Australian communities and work every day to make energy more affordable, more sustainable, smarter and easier for our customers. We are committed to leading the transition to a cleaner energy future and believe our company, and the energy industry more broadly, should be at the forefront of action to reduce carbon emissions. Origin was the first Australian company to set an emissions reduction target endorsed by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) – aiming to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions by 2032, as we work towards achieving net zero emissions by 2050. Through the Origin Energy Foundation, we support programs that use education to help break the cycle of disadvantage and empower young Australians to reach their potential, contributing more than $27 million to support community organisations since 2010. Our mission is to accelerate the world’s shift away from fossil fuels to green hydrogen by delivering the world’s best electrolyser. Hysata is developing a new type of hydrogen electrolyser. Our technology has the potential to significantly shift the economics of green hydrogen production, bringing $2/kg green hydrogen within reach, and accelerating the global transition to net zero emissions. Electrolysers use electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, and are the key technology for producing green hydrogen. Green hydrogen is widely acknowledged to be a crucial part of reaching net zero emissions globally, with the potential to meet up to 20% of energy demand in a net zero global economy. The Hysata electrolyser is based on breakthrough Australian technology developed by a team from the University of Wollongong’s ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science, led by chemical catalysis and characterisation expert Professor Gerry Swiegers. We officially launched in June 2021, with $5 million in seed funding led by IP Group, with support from the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC).
